Salia Sahi Haat is part of a slum development project as part of the JAGA Mission with the Government of Odisha.

Salia Sahi is the largest slum in Odisha, having a sprawl of over 256 acres and a population of over 1 lakh residents.

The haat (marketplace) is at the edge of the slum community, serving as a bridge of interaction between different community groups.
